Auf Deutsch: weiter unten! Since Manfred has been supporting us in this school project directly on site, he has also started to teach the students German. After only a few months, he has taught quite a few students to such an extent that currently about 17 students can take an exam at the Goethe-Institut in Nariobi. This will now take place on 2 dates in October and November. Due to a travel restriction, only 5 7th grade students are allowed to take the exam in October. The other 12 will be registered in November. About 21,000 KES are needed for the October exams. Of this, 16,000 KES for the Goethe-Institut and 5,000 KES for travel expenses. The same is needed for the November exams. Total amount: 42,000 KES, about 280 €. The children are happy about any support, because the cost of living has already risen noticeably this year due to tax increases and it will continue to rise at the turn of the year.
Sorry. I can't do 21,00. I am laid off until April and no insurance.
Good Luck to the students.
