Eagle picks snake, fight ensues, eagle drops snake, snake lands on car, bites man.

The struggle involving an eagle and a snake landed on to a moving car belonging to a Kitui Government employee who was minding his own business.

David Musyoka, a driver attached to the county government told Citizen Digital that he was driving toward Mwingi town when a snake freed itself from the eagle and dropped on top of the car.

According to Mr Musyoka, before he could anything, the snake found its way inside the car and bit his left arm.

He immediately stopped the vehicle and jumped out with the snake still hanging onto his arm and called for help.

Nearby residents rushed to his rescue and killed the snake then gave him first aid.

However, the residents said the eagle the eagle re-emerged out of nowhere and picked the dead snake and flew away. Citizen Digital

Knec gives new rules for exams as private schools reject move

The Kenya National Examination Council (Knec) will not allow schools with less than 40 candidates to be registered as national examination centres.

In the circular, Knec acting chief executive Dr Mercy Karogo said only centres that have over 40 candidates as determined by the sub-county education directors will be allowed to register. Standard Digital

Zambia’s founding President, Kenneth Kaunda has passed on.

According to SABC, Kaunda, 97, died in Zambia’s capital Lusaka on Thursday after being hospitalized for a few days.

He was being treated for pneumonia in a hospital in the capital, Lusaka,

Security consultant Mwenda Mbijiwe reported missing after Meru trip

Security consultant and former Kenya Air Force officer Mwenda Mbijiwe has been reported missing. 

His sister Tamara Mbijiwe said they have filed a missing person report at the Central police station, Nairobi.
